St Thomas’ is the only Grade 1 listed building in central Stourbridge, and as such makes the perfect venue for your special day. With our outstanding reputation for high quality sacred music and the radiant colours of our historic stained-glass windows, your wedding service in St Thomas’ Church will be the divine moment of which you have often dreamed – a traditional Wedding Day, cementing your lifelong commitment to one another.

Can I get married at St Thomas’?

There are rules about where you can get married, but that you are considering us at all probably means that you qualify. Get in touch with the Church Office and if they cannot immediately say ‘yes’, one of the ministers will call you to find a way for your marriage to start at St Thomas’.

What about marriage preparation?

It’s all part of the service we offer, both before and after your Wedding Day. We’ll need to prepare for your Wedding Service. It is your service, and although it will follow the Wedding Service of the Church of England there is a lot that you can do to customise it. We’ll also help you to prepare for your marriage in the years ahead. Whether you’ve been living together for some time or are ‘new and excited’, having God bless your relationship will transform it, and you’d better be prepared for that (that is why you’re going to all this trouble, isn’t it?)

Ah yes, the money. What will it cost?

The basic cost of a Church of England Wedding is set by Parliament but you will probably want some extras. These might include an organist to play some music, perhaps the choir too. Would you like the bells to be rung? Have additional flowers or an order of service? We can help with all these things and we don’t charge a premium just because it’s a wedding!

We’re worried about the parking

We are in the town centre so we understand that folk sometimes worry about the parking of cars. Limousines can turn around at the end of Market Street, and we have just as much car parking as Waitrose across the road! Really, parking isn’t a problem.
