Sun 13th May to Sat 19th May

All Day

St Thomas' Church

This year Christian Aid Week focuses on Vilia in Haiti and the experiences of her family and the people there who lived through an earthquake in 2010 and then faced Hurricane Matthew in 2016.

Christian Aid’s partners in Haiti, KORAL, helped Vilia build a new sturdy home after the earthquake. That new home then sheltered 54 people when the hurricane struck in October 2016.

We will be collecting for Christian Aid in our usual streets around Stourbridge. If you are interested in helping to deliver and/or collect envelopes please visit the church and have a look at the list near the back – if you haven’t collected before we can always provide you with a partner who has! If you would like to speak to us about the process please contact us and we will put you in touch with one of our volunteers.

This year we have permission to collect in Stourbridge Town Centre on the morning of Friday 18th May. If you can spare a couple of hours then you would be very welcome. Again, please contact us to discuss.

The annual Christian Aid Week Service will be held on Sunday 13th May at 6:30pm at St Mary’s, Old Swinford. The service helps us to pray for the week of collections ahead and to focus our thoughts on the vital work Christian Aid does around the world through its partners.

All are welcome to the service.
