Our quarterly magazine, distributed by email, contains features and commentaries written by our clergy and by volunteers. There are articles from the diocese (Worcester), occasional quizzes, latest information about our services, study groups and our pledges. Everyone is welcome to contribute.
We also print the magazine for our congregation, visitors to our church and for those either homebound or without internet access.
If you would like to advertise your organisation or services in our magazine, please get in touch with the parish office.
Welcome and thank you for visiting us. Because they are mixed communities, churches are hard to describe. You don’t really get to know one until you’re a part of it.
St Thomas’ Church wants to be a ‘Parish Church’. The ‘parish’ used to be an essential part of one’s identity. It was the village where you lived and it was where you belonged. We might not think of the place where we live in those terms today, but St Thomas’ wants to be the kind of Christian community in which all the people of Stourbridge might feel at home. This means we aim to be a diverse community and we’re open to ‘all sorts and conditions of men’ (and women) as the prayer book puts it. We’re building a community which is old and young, traditional and contemporary, loud and reflective, caring and joyful. We won’t judge you by your past, and we’ll hope and pray for your better future.
We are Kingdom People, striving for a world of Love, Justice, Compassion and Freedom. We’re on a journey towards our vision, and we hope that you might want to join us.
Reverend Andrew Sillis
